Terragong - an introduction

Situated on 12 acres of lush pastureland in the verdant Jamberoo Valley, ten minutes inland from Kiama and an hour and a half south of Sydney, our magnificent two-storey Georgian home, Terragong, was built in 1858 by John Marks (1826-1885), agriculturist and politician. The property remained in the same family through seven generations until its purchase in 2014 by Darryl and Simon. The homestead is steeped in architectural history with 14ft ceilings (some pressed metal, some timber), cedar doors and windows, multiple fireplaces of marble and tile, solid brick construction that keeps the home cool in summer and warm in winter.
